Dying Light: The Beast review: The real monsters are exactly who you'd expect

The zombie apocalypse continues in Dying Light: The Beast, and this time you’ll be traversing the idyllic hills of a large European mountain town overrun with infected. Much of the game is an evolution of what’s made the series work in previous installments, with some notable new additions that spice things up. There are also as many returning frustrations as there are quality updates, making the whole experience something of a mixed bag.

Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree Review: A Light in the Darkness

The conventional wisdom about FromSoftware DLCs has always been that they’re the best version of their respective games. That they refocus and elevate the content that came with the vanilla experience, address concerns, and add the best bosses, weapons, and spells available anywhere in the game. Tales of Kenzera: Zau Review — A Tale of Two Worlds

Telling stories is one of humankind’s best ways of passing on our history and can be especially helpful when dealing with grief. That concept is at the core of Tales of Kenzera: Zau, a Metroidvania that does double duty as an action game and an emotional journey to overcome the grief of losing a parent, inspired by its lead developer’s own experience of losing his father. It mostly succeeds at both.

Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty Review — Finally Chippin' In

Almost three years after its initial release, the Phantom Liberty expansion acts as a capstone to a long and arduous journey for Cyberpunk 2077. The DLC introduces new characters, locations, mechanics, and more, as well as the massive 2.0 update that addressed many of the community's concerns. Phantom Liberty is Cyberpunk 2077 at its best, despite some smaller issues getting in the way.

Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon Review — A New Flame

To say Armored Core 6 is a triumphant return for the greatest mech game franchise ever is an understatement. It’s the culmination of years of development on the series and all the lessons learned from the last 10 years of the Soulsborne genre. AC6 is the ultimate compromise between the clunky, heavy games of the series’ beginnings and the neck-snappingly fast gameplay of later titles.

Remnant 2 Review: Blasting Through the Apocalypse

Like its predecessor, Remnant 2 is much more fun than it has any right to be. And like any great sequel, the latest in the series uses everything that works about the original, irons out a lot of what doesn’t, and adds a ton of additional, amazing content no one was expecting. Remnant 2 eschews much of the opening buildup, includes some Rogue-lite elements to progression, and tells a more coherent story.
